Fredrick Colorado Lifestyle Session
Last March, I had the pleasure of meeting the Martin family and photographing their cute Lifestyle family session in Fredrick, Colorado. We took photos at the Little White Photo Studio. It is such a beautiful studio and has everything you need! Kelly reached out for an updated photography session after the arrival of their baby boy, Jason. We don’t have any cute studios in Laramie, Wyoming so I suggested driving to the Little White Photo Studio which is an hour and 45 minutes from us but it was so worth it!
The primary inspiration behind this photoshoot was to celebrate the arrival of their new baby boy. The Martins wanted to create intimate memories in a studio setting, showcasing their newfound family bond. The studio provided the perfect backdrop for their family photos, enhancing the intimate vibe they were hoping to achieve. It was also March so it was very cold outside.
Favorite Moments
One of my favorite moments during the session was witnessing the pure joy on their faces as they interacted with their son, Jason. The love between Kelly and Luke was palpable, and it felt like a privilege to capture these special memories for them. The bond they share as parents was evident in every smile and gaze directed at their little one. Kelly and Luke’s personalities perfectly complement each other, creating a beautiful dynamic that made capturing their moments truly special.
Throughout the session, the emotions ranged from tender affection to joyful laughter, all of which translated beautifully into the photographs. The chosen color palette of light blue and creams added a soft and timeless feel to the images. Neutral colors are always a winning choice for family photos, allowing the focus to remain on the family connection rather than the outfits.
A Unique Contribution
To ensure the session went smoothly, I provided the Martins with a style guide to help them choose outfits that would complement each other. Additionally, I sent them a questionnaire to learn more about their family dynamics and preferences. This preparation allowed me to tailor the session to their unique vibe, creating a more personal and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Capturing the Martin family’s beautiful moments was an unforgettable experience. Their journey into parenthood is just the beginning, and I am so grateful to have played a part in preserving these precious memories! As they continue to grow as a family, I hope these photographs serve as a lasting reminder of their intimate, joyful, and sweet connection.
