Lifestyle Newborn Session
A year ago, I had the honor of capturing a beautiful in-home lifestyle newborn session for the Davidson family in Rock Springs, WY. Hunter, who is my brother, chose me to document this precious time in their lives and I couldn’t be more grateful! The atmosphere during the session was so intimate and that is why I love doing in-home sessions! I don’t have a studio of my own and I don’t photograph newborns just by themselves so my alternative route is to do sessions in the families’ homes! This allows the family to feel comfortable in their own home and a more relaxed feel to the photos.
New Beginnings
The Davidson family recently welcomed a beautiful baby boy and wanted to capture this special milestone. They wanted updated photos in their cozy home, particularly in the nursery they had prepared. The decision to photograph them in their own environment allowed for a relaxed session, showcasing their genuine emotions as new parents. This is the first baby on my side of the family and it has been a joy watching my brother become a dad and take on this new role of parenthood.
A Heartfelt Connection
One of my favorite moments was meeting my nephew for the first time. The love Hunter and Baylee have for their new little one was so amazing to witness. It created a perfect backdrop for stunning photos. They chose to dress more simply in jeans and white t-shirts, allowing the focus to remain on their new bundle of joy.
Throughout the session, I witnessed genuine happiness and tenderness, which translated beautifully into the photographs. The soft color palette of their home enhanced the intimate vibe, wrapping the family in warmth.
As their photographer, I aimed to create a relaxed environment that encouraged authentic interactions. The result was a collection of images that not only captured their new family dynamics but also their beautiful nursery.
In summary, the Davidson family’s session was a heartfelt celebration of new beginnings, and I was so excited to have been a part of it. Each photo tells a story, preserving the joy and intimacy of this special time in their lives!
