Red Ledges Utah Family Session
It was such a joy to photograph the Smith family at the Red Ledges Picnic Area in Utah! These photos were taken in July of 2023 when I was visiting Utah for an elopement styled shoot retreat. I enjoyed getting to catch up with Steven and Shannon. I’ve known them for years and it’s been so fun to see their family grow over the years. Their two little boys were so energetic which made photographing them such a delight. I loved seeing their little personalities come out! They wanted to take family photos to update their family photos but also because they were expecting their third boy! I love being able to photograph all the special moments in people’s lives.
The location for this session, Red Ledges, was a perfect choice for the Smith family. It was close to their home in Spanish Fork and it had the most stunning red rocks and breathtaking mountain views! It provided a stunning backdrop that resonated with their love for the outdoors. We first started at the Red Ledges Picnic Area and then halfway through the session, we drove down the road to an open field that had the most beautiful mountain view.
Memorable Moments
One of my favorite moments was capturing the boys’ fun personalities as they played and laughed together. The session also included beautiful maternity photos of Shannon, showcasing her radiant glow as she prepared to welcome another child into their loving family.
Before the session, I provided the family with a style guide to help coordinate their outfits. Their chosen palette of blues, creams, and tans complemented the natural scenery beautifully, enhancing the overall warmth and joy captured in the photos. I can’t wait to see their family grow over the years!
